The Morden Multicultural Winterfest is excited to announce a public contest to design the official mascot for our festival! This is a unique opportunity to showcase your creativity and celebrate the rich cultural diversity that makes our community so special. Let your imagination run wild and contribute to a festival that brings together people from all walks of life.
Contest Theme
The mascot should embody the spirit of the Winterfest—joy, unity, and cultural diversity. We’re looking for a character that can represent the warmth of different cultures coming together in the winter season.
Contest Guidelines
Eligibility: Open to all ages and residents of Morden and surrounding areas.
Design Requirements:
The mascot should be suitable for all ages.
Designs can be submitted in digital formats (.png, .jpeg, .pdf) or as a high-resolution scan of a hand-drawn sketch. Handrawn designs are also accepted!
Include a brief description (up to 250 words) explaining the concept and inspiration behind your design.
Submission Deadline: All entries must be received by February 3, 2025 at 12 PM.
Submissions will be judged based on the following criteria:
Creativity and originality
Relevance to the multicultural theme
Visual appeal and suitability for Winterfest branding
Clarity and expressiveness of the character
Prizes
Grand Prize: The winning design will become the official mascot of the Morden Multicultural Winterfest. The winner will also receive a $100 Boston Pizza Gift Card and festival merchandise.
Winner Announcement
Join us for the grand unveiling of the festival mascot at the Access Event Centre, East Asia Pavilion on February 8, 2025, at 4 PM.
Terms and Conditions
By submitting an entry, participants agree to allow Morden Multicultural Winterfest to use their designs for promotional purposes.
The winner may be required to work with festival organizers to refine and finalize the mascot design.
By submitting an entry, participants agree to transfer all possible copyrights and trademarks to Morden Multicultural Winterfest. This includes any future claims of ownership, making the design the sole property of the festival organization.
