The City of Morden is pleased to announce the lifting of the water usage advisory that was previously in effect over the weekend. Thanks to the collective effort of our residents in reducing their water usage, the city’s sewer systems have stabilized, allowing services to return to normal operation.
The advisory, which was put in place due to excessive rainfall overwhelming our sewer systems, called for immediate and significant water use reductions from all households and businesses. The response from the community was both swift and effective, leading to an improvement in conditions.
The City took additional steps to ensure that all systems were fully functional and could handle normal operations before lifting the advisory. This caution was exercised to guarantee the continued safety and well-being of our residents, as well as the integrity of our infrastructure.
Residents of Morden can now resume regular water usage with confidence that the system is fully operational.
The City of Morden remains committed to providing timely and transparent communication regarding the status of our utilities and services. We also encourage residents to continue practicing water conservation as part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability.
