Burn Bans – Explanation of DL (Danger Level) codes

DL0 – Controlled burning allowed including safe use of burn barrels, fireworks permits may be issued, burn permits may be issued, use of recreational are firepits permitted

DL1 – Controlled burning allowed including safe use of burn barrels, fireworks permits may be issued, burn permits may be issued, use of recreational are firepits permitted

DL2 – Controlled burning allowed including safe use of burn barrels, fireworks permits may be issued, burn permits may be issued, use of recreational are firepits permitted

DL3 – No controlled burning allowed including burning barrels, burn permits cancelled, fireworks permits may be issued, use of recreational firepits are permitted

DL4 – TOTAL BURN BAN – No fires – No fireworks – Use of recreational firepits are prohibited

NOTE: All controlled burning and recreational fire-pit use must be done in accordance with local burning bylaws. Until green-up, Burn Ban implementation for the MFD response areas will be based on the Manitoba Government Provincial Fire Program Fire Danger Level at the Morden weather station.
