The CITY OF MORDEN invites applications for the full-time position of Facilities Maintenance Foreman at Morden’s Access Event Centre.
FACILITIES MAINTENANCE FOREMAN
Term: Full-time
Responsibilities:
• Operate and maintain mechanical systems and equipment at all recreation facilities• Oversee production and maintenance of artificial ice surfaces and operate all ice re-surfacing equipment
• Oversee and perform a variety of cleaning tasks, minor building/equipment upkeep and facility set up for rentals
• Provide operational supervision and guidance on day-to-day projects at all designated facilities
• Communicate well with the public and staff
• Provide training for personnel in both operations and safety awareness
• Be on call on a rotational basis for alarm systems and after-hours support for staff
• Communicate fluently in the English language (both orally and in writing).
Qualifications:
• Provincial Refrigeration Class Power Engineer’s Certificate• Arena Operator’s Level 2 certificate
• Supervisory experience is required
• Certification and training expenses are paid by Morden
