Swim Instructor
Term: Seasonal Job
Morden Community Services department is looking for dynamic and enthusiastic people to teach Lifesaving Society swim lessons at Lake Minnewasta. All swim instructors will demonstrate patience, safety and encouragement while motivating participants to accomplish their swimming goals.
Responsibilities:
· Instruct Lifesaving Society Swim Lessons· Evaluate performance of swimmers and complete reports
· Monitor the beach and educate the public on water safety
· Keep swim equipment clean and organized
Qualifications:
· Swim for Life or Lifesaving Instructor Certification· Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Level C Certification
· Current Criminal Record & Child Abuse Registry Check
· National Lifeguard Certification is an asset
· Good Communication skills
· Experience working with children
· Good Leadership skills
· Ability to work well in a busy environment
· Positive Role Model
· Good Organization skills
Working Hours:
Typical working hours are Monday- Friday daytime hours. Some evenings may be required for a special event. Season: Full-time July – mid August. Potential for part-time/casual hours throughout June/August.Application Deadline:
