PUBLIC OPEN HOUSE TO SHAPE CITY OF MORDEN’S STRATEGIC PLAN

Council Chambers

The City of Morden is pleased to announce a public open house scheduled for January 30, 2024, to engage residents and seek their input in the development of a new strategic plan. This initiative aims to address key opportunities and challenges faced by the City, and identify short- and long-term priorities for Council, Administration, and the community as a whole.

As one of Manitoba’s fastest-growing municipalities, Morden acknowledges the importance of adapting to evolving circumstances while ensuring sustainable service delivery that aligns with the needs and expectations of its residents.

In collaboration with KPMG LLP, the City of Morden has engaged in a strategic plan development process. As part of this endeavour, KPMG is inviting the public to participate in a “Drop-In” Open House. The event will provide valuable insights into the strategic plan development process and encourage attendees to contribute their ideas and suggestions.

The primary objective of this opportunity is to gain a deeper understanding of the community’s vision and the City’s role in achieving that vision. Additionally, the aim is to capture essential factors that should be considered for a successful implementation of the plan.

The anticipated outcome of this strategic plan is to ensure the positive health and well-being of Morden’s citizens, deliver effective and efficient services for the overall value of ratepayers, and foster a competitive, attractive, and financially sustainable municipality for current and future residents, businesses, and stakeholders.

The public open house will occur on January 30, 2024, from 6 to 8 pm at the Morden Civic Centre (Council Chambers), located at 195 Stephen Street, Morden, MB.
