The City of Morden would like to update the community on the ongoing efforts to find a sustainable and affordable solution to our composting needs. The recent closure of our current compost provider, Enviro Clean, has initiated a transition phase in our curbside compost pickup services, and we understand this may cause concern among our residents.
We are diligently working on a comprehensive solution that not only serves our community but also aligns with our environmental sustainability goals. This process is complex and involves more than just our local community, hence it requires careful consideration and planning.
In the meantime, we urge residents to continue their composting habits. Please drop off your yard waste, such as branches and grass clippings, at the Morden compost site. Additionally, continue to place your kitchen waste into the green bins provided. This will help maintain our community’s routine of composting and ensure we keep moving towards our sustainability objectives.
