Morden Prepares for Fall Yard Pickup Week

As the leaves begin to fall and gardens are prepped for the winter months, Morden is gearing up for its annual Fall Yard Pickup Week. This seasonal service provides residents with a convenient way to dispose of their yard waste, ensuring our community remains clean and beautiful.

Schedule:

  • Zone 1: October 15, 2024
  • Zone 2: October 16, 2024
  • Zone 3: October 18, 2024

What We Collect:

  • Branches and twigs from pruning activities
  • Leaves bagged in certified compostable paper bags
  • Dead or unwanted garden plants

What We Don’t Collect:

  • Yard waste bagged in plastic

Residents are encouraged to use paper compost bags, which can be purchased at most hardware and grocery stores. For those who prefer to handle their own yard waste disposal, the Willcocks Road Compost Yard is available for drop-offs at any time.

Additionally, it’s important to remind residents that food scraps and pet waste should be disposed of in green bins.

For more detailed information on waste disposal and to keep up-to-date with community services, residents are advised to download the MMSM Recyclepedia app available on Google Play Store and the App Store.
