Health Links-Info Santé is a 24/7 telephone information service. It is staffed by registered nurses who can answer health care questions and guide you to the care you need. Call anytime at 204-788-8200 or toll-free at 1-888-315-9257.
Hospital Services
The Boundary Trails Health Centre is a 94-bed acute care regional facility. Services include Home Care, Public Health, Mental Health, Emergency, Ambulatory Care Clinics, Intensive Care, Observation, Diagnostics, Laboratory, Medical, Surgery, Day Surgery, Obstetrics, Chemotherapy, Dialysis, Rehabilitation, and Speech and Audiology services. It is located at the junction of Highways #3 & #14, between Morden and Winkler.
Emergency Medical Services
Emergency Medical Services are available 24/7 at the Boundary Trails Health Centre, located at the intersection of Highway 3 and Highway 14 between Morden and Winkler. Emergency services should only be used in critical situations. Please note: ambulance services are not covered by the government and could cost over $300. In life-threatening situations, dial 911.
Family Doctors
Residents can visit their family doctor for routine health visits and general health concerns at Menzies Medical Centre. Appointments are required to see your family doctor or specialists, but walk-in services are available during specific hours.
If you have health records from your home country or province, bring them to show your new doctor, especially if you or your family require immunizations or special treatments.
Physiotherapy
Physiotherapists are primary health care professionals trained to use a broad range of treatment techniques to promote health and treat injury and disease. They can help you regain and maintain mobility and manage your condition independently through treatments such as exercise, manual therapy, acupuncture, therapeutic modalities, hydrotherapy, and more. The College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba (CPM) regulates the practice of physiotherapy in Manitoba.

Chiropractors
Chiropractors treat musculoskeletal ailments, such as back and neck pain, headaches, sports injuries, workplace injuries, and motor vehicle accidents.
Chiropractic treatment in Manitoba is partially covered by Manitoba Health Insurance. Chiropractors charge a fee for the portion not covered by Medicare. Autopac (MPI), the Workers Compensation Board, and the Department of Veterans Affairs cover 100% of chiropractic treatments, and no referral from a doctor is required. Many employers also offer additional health care plans that cover chiropractic services.

Dentists
Dental care is not covered under Manitoba Health Insurance. Patients typically cover the cost through direct payment or private dental insurance. Some employers offer health benefit plans that include dental care.

Eye Care
Eye care services, including eyeglasses and contact lenses, are not covered under Manitoba Health Insurance. You will need to pay for these services.

Medication and Prescriptions
Medications can be purchased at drug stores (pharmacies). Some medicines require a prescription, while others can be bought over the counter. Medications are not covered by Manitoba Health Insurance. If unsure, you can ask the pharmacist for advice. PharmaCare (government assistance based on income and medication usage) may help. Morden has four pharmacies:
Drinking Water
City tap water is regulated to meet health standards. Rural properties should not be sold without government-approved drinking water. If buying a property not connected to city or municipal water, ensure the water meets health standards. Bottled water is available at many local businesses.
Public Health
Public health nurses provide services such as immunizations for all ages, prenatal classes, postpartum home visits, breastfeeding assistance, and travel immunizations. They are also an excellent resource for health-related questions.
